Picture
Dr. Colleen M. Murray earned her PhD and Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and her undergraduate in Psychology from Campbell University.  After graduation from Campbell University, Colleen was commissioned as an officer and entered active duty with the US Army serving for 10 years.

Today, Dr. Murray is a Licensed Practicing Counselor and owner of Victor’s Crown Christian Counseling Center in Saint Robert, Missouri where she specializes in working with families experiencing high-conflict divorce and parental alienation. Dr. Murray is also an adjunct professor at Drury University.

Dr. Murray is an expert witness and regularly testifies within Missouri’s 25th and 26th Judicial Circuits for high-conflict divorce and parental alienation cases.  Additionally, Dr. Murray speaks at continuing education conferences for family law attorneys and judges in an effort to better equip the legal profession to more effectively and efficiently manage the high volume of these cases to a successful conclusion.

Dr. Murray began to specialize in this particular field of mental health counseling prior to completing her post-graduate work at Capella University.  Dr. Murray has conducted extensive research in childhood trauma due to domestic violence; she spent several years working in the area of intimate partner violence (IPV) and studying the effects on and interventions for children subjected to IPV.

Colleen and her husband Daniel live in St. Robert, Missouri and have three grown children; daughter Ashley is Staff Sergeant in the Active Guard for the State of Missouri; oldest son Stuart is the Communications Director for the Missouri State Senate Republican Caucus; and youngest son Joseph is aspiring to a career in the automotive technician field.
